Dan and Heather are natives of Pennsylvania. They were both raised in the Pittsburgh area, going through grade school in the same class. They met again after college and got married. Heather and Dan moved to New Bern, NC in 2005, where they set out on mission to raise their 8 children.
The Dobans are active with international and local IAAM mission projects and outreach. They are an integral part of PamCo Missio and 1st Choice Pregnancy Resources of Pamlico while working stateside on behalf of the Mission as a whole.
Dan is a member of the deMANd™ missional outreach Founding C.O.R.E Group. Heather is a Pray Freedom for Captives™ Ambassador. The Dobans participate as speakers and organizers for IAAM initiatives such as In the Defense of Dignity and A Day of Reflection and Action in the Defense of Human Life along with other hands-on ministry. Both Dan and Heather also serve in important administrative roles. Dan serves on IAAM’s Board of Directors and Heather serves on the Advisory Council of 1st Choice Pregnancy Resources of Pamlico.
Dan is a pharmacist aboard Marine Corps Base Camp LeJeune. He is an ordained member of the Permanent Diaconate of the Catholic Church, Diocese of Raleigh. Heather received degrees in Special Education and Doctor of Jurisprudence from Duquesne University. Heather serves at their home church and school.
