Miriam Kiwummulo Kyalimpa founded the IAAM mission project, Rescue Women Foundation, in Kampala, Uganda. Empowering women in the care of their families and thereby uplifting communities, was its means of strengthening vulnerabilities. Quickly, the urgent need of support for teen mothers became the major mission focus. She’s passionate about upholding the dignity of these mothers and their babies.
Miriam meets these young women “where they are” – physically and emotionally – rescues them and works to restore them to their full dignity in Christ. Rescue Women Foundation never sleeps. Miriam, herself, is always on call.
As with other IAAM East African projects, RWF seeks to rescue, restore, and raise up all whom it serves. Because of the project’s impact, local authorities and community leaders seek out Miriam for the purpose of referrals and participation in IAAM sponsored outreach such as menstrual (It’s About Freedom. Period.) and birthing support (Mama Kits).
IAAM missionaries appreciate personal or programmatic accompaniment in the form of prayer, action, or financial contribution. This type of work requires sustaining on many levels!
