A co-founder of IAAM, Regina has a passion for the reign of God in the world. She’s based in eastern North Carolina but reaches where IAAM projects and other works are found – “where vulnerability in the human condition is being exploited and man is threatened as the image of God.”
Among Regina’s exhortations for IAAM and those who stand with the Mission in support and encouragement of individual or societal transformation is “words matter!” Inaccurate and unjust messages bombard us, imparting false truths and relativism as the wisdom of the age to which we should not conform. Regina works to restate these messages. She addresses complacency and indifference (especially among Christians) regarding the world around us to secure individual human dignity and that of humanity.
Regina develops IAAM projects, outreach, and initiatives. Currently she and her husband, Joe, are also the hands-on missionaries at 1st Choice Pregnancy Resources of Pamlico. In working among IAAM missionaries and volunteers, and those with whom they come in contact, she reminds everyone that “mission is not a destination but an orientation of the heart.” Her great joy is to see those served through IAAM engaged in its activities; having been raised up in recognition of their dignity – in their true identity.
Regina has always recognized her deep love of community. Establishing and creating community in and among projects and people has been a large part of her calling.
