Sports can break cultural, language, and age barriers, that’s why we see it as a powerful platform to share important information about sexual exploitation, human trafficking, and other contemporary scourges.
IAAM’s Sports Outreach began in response to the consumption of human beings in an illegal, global market. IAAM’s missionaries, athletes, abolitionists, and volunteers work to end exploitation and the demand fueling human trafficking. This is hands-on operation to educate, serve, and support the sporting sector, a population and system of great liability. However, the sporting sector also presents great potential and could be a profound resource in the defense of dignity. IAAM uses athletics and the platforms of individual athletes to share truth and the connection between various forms of exploitation. We work to replace existing societal messages and mores with those of a more accurate and just nature.
